Congratulations to Garry Slack
We are delighted to send warmest congratulations to Garry Slack on being presented with the joint overall gold award in the books for ages 5 to 7 category of the Practical Pre School Magazine Awards 2009. Gary was invited to Manchester University on Friday, 27th September, to accept the award which he shares with long established and highly successful mainstream publishers Dorling Kindersley.
This is the first year that Practical Pre School Magazine has introduced the 5to7 Awards which makes it extra special for Garry. The magazine aims to identify and reward excellence in educational products designed for children in key stage 1. These new awards mean that, for the first time, they are able to give guidance to professionals working in key stage 1.
This is a tremendous achievement for Gary who is fairly new to writing and self-publishing. Well done, Garry, from all of us.
